The New Face of our Veterans

This past week I had the opportunity and pleasure to work with a good friend on a new project. I know personally when I think of veterans, I always pictured people like my grandfather that fought in the great wars. Veterans were older people that fought in a time we never knew. Well, just over a year ago, I met a guy right around my age by the name of Jeremy Burns. We got along famously from the first day we met. As it turns out Jeremy is a veteran! He served as a member of the infantry in the Canadian Forces and did a tour in Afghanistan.  Jeremy speaks openly and honestly about his time in the service. During his tour 14 Canadian soldiers’ were lost in combat.  As tragic and awful as this is, Jeremy’s story starts well before he enlisted.  Through a series of shoots, we plan on telling more and more about Jer’s story. This past week was the first of many. I can’t wait to take you all on this journey as we discover just what the new faces of our veteran’s looks like.
